El 7 de febrero se pone a la venta el nuevo disco de Van Halen, el día 10 de enero estrenan el primer single titulado "Tattoo", a ver que tal.

es q eso para mi tb son otras 3 obras maestras (en especial el 84), lo repito a biyones d siglos luz d este ultimo!!

Beriboogie, a mí Stay Frosty me gusta porque tiene una progresión muy chula, es emotiva y acaba bien... pero el comienzo es bastante pobre (por no decir lo que realmente pienso), al igual que aquel Ice Cream Man que me parece igual que este comienzo. Y dicho esto, me parece mucho mejor Stay Frosty

A mí el disco sí me gusta y bastante. Me parece mucho mejor de lo que me esperaba y además es realmente bueno. Vamos, que me parece bastante mejor que 3 discos de la primera época Diamond Dave y también mejor que uno de Hagard y a millones de kilómetros del de Cherone, así que lo situaría en el medio de su discografía. Que teniendo en cuenta de cuándo data el último precedente y su calidad, es para darse con 10 cantos en los dientes

Lo de China Town es alucinante

Fabio, no pasa nada hombre. Me creo que a los que no os vaya el blues ese tipo de intros os repatee el higadillo. Stay Frosty es un temazo como lo era Ice Cream Man, cuya intro es una version de un blues de esos de los pioneros, de un tal John Brim........ Tambien estoy contigo en el temazo "China Town", alucinante es poco, de lo mejor de un disco INMEJORABLE

¿Habéis visto las canciones en acústico que vienen en el dvd? Son una gozada.

Ayer estuve escuchando el disco y me ha gustado........ no esperaba yo que VH hicieran un disco tan decente, hombre no es otro "1984" ni otro "Diver Down" han hecho un disco acorde con los tiempos que corren, pero eso si, sin perder su personalidad

Si quieres que te diga la verdad y te conteste con sinceridad, me parecen una mierda, de VH como ya he dicho en alguna ocasión sólo me gustan los 3 temas AOR del "5150", "When it´s love", algún tema del "FUCK", "Ain't talking bout love" y para de contar, es un grupo que nunca me han gustado nada de nada, como bien sabe el gran Caído que acaba de contestar y suscribo sus palabras en mi nombre

El de HEAT estoy a la espera de que me llegue pero ya te puedo decir sin escucharlo que va a ser mi disco del año.

Por cierto yo nunca he dicho que Stay Frosty sea un temazo, entre otras cosas porque el primer minuto ya es un gran handicap, pero acaba bien y finalmente sí me gusta. No obstante hay temas sin duda mejores como China Town, You and your blues, Big river, Outta space o Blood and fire.

Por cierto, creo que no es justo englobar los primeros discos de VH en el mismo saco porque aunque estilísticamente sean parecidos, hay algunos que son MUCHO MEJORES que otros.

ojo al dato,problemas en van halen.tiene pinta de ser importante.


According to Pollstar.com, VAN HALEN appears to have postponed over 30 dates on its 2012 North American tour, beginning with the July 7 concert at Uncasville, Connecticut and ending with the September 25 performance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There has been no word yet as to the reason for the postponements.

The official press release from United Concerts, which was the promoter for the VAN HALEN concert at in Salt Lake City, Utah, reads: "The VAN HALEN show at EnergySolutions Arena Tuesday, September 4th has been temporarily postponed. Future dates to be announced. The on-sale for this Friday, May 18th is also postponed. Please hold on to your tickets until further information is available. We apologize for any inconvenience."

According to TMZ.com, VAN HALEN decided to postpone 31 of its previously announced summer concerts because the guys in the band felt like the current schedule was "too much, too fast" and they were "losing their focus." The site quotes a source "close to the band" as saying "They're simply burned out" and adding, "They want to make sure their concerts are not a routine ... they want every performance to be special." The members of the group want to take some time to "recharge their engines" and return to the road with a renewed energy and enthusiasm.

The question being asked by many Van Halen fans is just how many units has the band's latest studio album sold since its release in February of this year. A Different Kind Of Truth won widespread praise from fans and critics alike. It certainly remains a favourite of mine.
But that said - sales have been relatively stagnant after the initial release. As of last week, the album had sold a total of 400,620 units in the USA.
There is no real way to gauge total international sales, but if you take the USA alone, for comparison Van Halen 3 has scanned 515,322 [no mention of how many of those are in used CD bins] and the first Chickenfoot album has scanned 532,092 units to date. I don't yet have numbers for the second Chickenfoot album which was released just prior to the Van Halen album. Interesting numbers.
