Once Robby actually plans to release a Compilation Album, you better not expect
your typical thrown together `Best Of´ CD that Recordlabels usually trow out
without the artists contribution/input. Mysteriously titled ANDROGENIUS that
upcoming double Album will rather be a collection of various VALENTINE Songs
from the last 17 years, all selected/choosen by Robby himself. While one CD titled
FUTURE? represents Robby´s harder/modern/guitardriven side, the second CD
(PAST) is more of a retrospective journey through time with personal Favorites
from his entire Discography. To give the Collection a slightly fresh approach,
Robby even went down Memory Lane to recreate some of his trademark Songs
as new Recordings for the PAST CD. As a result, Classics like NO TURNING BACK,
THE MAGIC BREEZE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN + I BELIEVE IN YOU will now be
included as brand new 2008 versions. For the new ´I BELIEVE IN YOU´ even
Robby´s longtime collaborator VALENSIA came around to contribute extra harmony
vocals.
Additionally for the FUTURE? CD Robby decided to revisit his breakthrough Song
once more in a totally different Light...or rather Darkness
)
So, ´OVER AND OVER AGAIN´s newborn evil twin is called ´OVER & OVER...AGAIN´
and is basically a dark, gloomy, heavy + fascinating Stranger, just opposed to the oh
so well known Ballad that everybody has been too familiar with over the years.
Currently the Albums Release is loosely scheduled for May/June 2008.
May will also mark the long overdue return of VALENTINE to the Stage. already official are these 2 dates:
10. May 2008 Manifesto, Hoorn, Noord Holland 20:30
27. June 2008 Strand Harlingen, Friesland 17.00
