Robertson Brothers - Symmetry (1994)

Supongo que cuando vean el título pensarán este pibe está loco de remate !!! Bueno, un poco puede ser... pero no tanto !!! Esto es Pop pero con aires a Lite Aor/Hi Tech que suena muy bien. Muy del estilo del Debut de Michael Learns To Rock y, tal vez, alguna cosa de Boys Club (discazo por cierto que le gusta mucho a Robert como he leido en alguna oportunidad !!!). En el disco mete varias guitarras... Dan Huff y hasta hay un tema de Stan Meissner/Glen Burtnick.

2. Send A Message - buen lento
3. Winter In America - excelente lento (a mi mujer le encanta... y a mi, claro) !!!
4. River Of Fire - muy buena (Stan Meissner/Glen Burtnick del disco de Stan del ´92)
5. In Your Eyes - buen lento
6. I Know Why - excelente !!! de lo mejor del disco !!!
7. Can´t Cry Hard Enough - tema tristón
8. All My Life - otro excelente tema !!! da muy buen rollo !!!
9. This Tide - buen tema
10. When Somebody (Loves Somebody) - muy bueno !!!
11. Circus - buen tema

8,5/10 !!! en su estilo !!!

Creo que no todo siempre es comentar lo que muchos conocemos sino tratar, aveces, de ser un poco original y arriesgar... ya saben, el que no arriesga no gana !!! aveces sale bien y otras no pero la vida es así.

he buscado varias veces por emule el resto de cd´s , pero sólo encuentro el simmetry,, tengo entendido que el resto de su discografia es más pop, pero tengo ganas de escuchar el resto de cd´s.

me lo compré por ebay, por la recomendación de algun forero , y me encanta. hay muchas canciones que me recuerda la calidad y tranquilidad de halligan - window in the wall, maravilloso, en cambio el de boys club , no puedo, demasiado poppie, le dare otra oportunidad.....

Arrival, me alegro que no sea el único que conozca el disco y crea que es muy bueno. Muy buena la comparación de Bob Halligan, que por cierto me encanta.

MALE vocal trio THE ROBERTSON BROS will return to Newcastle for two shows in the city this weekend and next weekend.
The trio, best known as the voices behind the HOME & AWAY theme song, will perform at the Newcastle Workers Club on Saturday, September 23, and the Phoenix club on Saturday, September 30.
As well as singing the Home & Away theme, the group has also enjoyed success in the charts with the single THE LAST LOVE SONG, co-written by RICK PRICE. In the tradition of other family groups such as the BEE GEES or THE CORRS, the trio's strength is its harmonies, honed from intense singing practice as children.
The group landed a record deal with BMG Records in 1994 and recorded its debut album SYMMETRY with producer BARRY BECKETT, producer of DIRE STRAITS, BOB SEEGER, ELTON JOHN and BOB DYLAN. The band has toured extensively through Asia, Germany and Australia, receiving an ARIA nomination for Best New Talent.
