Hope you are all well and I'd like to welcome you all to the official "Overland-Shadowman" website. We've had so many people
asking for more information and such a great response to the first "Overland" album and all three Shadowman albums,
that we thought it about time we set up a website. It also gives me a chance to THANK YOU all for your loyalty and support!
There is so much going on at the moment I don't know where to start
First of all second "Overland" album is being recorded as we speak over in Sweden.
We have a great Producer to produce the album by the name of Martin Kronlund at
JM Recording Studio's, Gothenburg, he has produced some great albums, and from Norway Tor Talle on (Lead guitars/ keyboards)
and also some of top Swedish session players are contributing to the new album such as (Imre Daun - Drums, Henrik Thomsen. -Bass,
and also Martin him self on the rhythm guitars).
Tor Talle
The Songs for the second "Overland" album were all co-written with whizz guitarist Tor Talle from Norway, whom Khalil Turk
introduce to me. We wrote and demoed altogether 19 songs and we had to chose 13 songs for the album, and I do
think they are all very strong songs and that you should all be very happy with the results.
Whilst this is going on, Steve Morris and myself have started writing for the fourth Shadowman album.
The record will feature the usual band members, Harry James (Drums) and Chris Childs (Bass), and of course
Mr Morris (All Guitars, Keyboards) and handling the productions. It is always great fun making these records,
as this is such a great band to work with in the studio....
Watch this space and I'll keep you updated on how we're progressing with the album.
I have also been asked to sing on two songs on a brand new "Psycho Fantasy II" by the creator and the producer of
Phenomena, Mr. Tom Galley the brother of the late Mel Galley (Trapeze / Whitesnake). These albums have been a great success
in the past and I get the to work alongside many other great singers which their names shall be announced shortly!
Mel co- wrote many of the songs so it will be a real honour.
Another thing I've been working at lately is trying to talk to my brother Chris into coming out of retirement to work with me on a new project (Wildlife ???), He is still a brilliant player, but its still early days ,I'll just keep plugging away at him until hopefully gives in!
As well as all of these things and writing with lots of other writers from all over the planet, there is this other band I'm in called "FM".
We are currently working away on our first album for over a decade and the songs are sounding great.
New guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick has slotted in nicely and has made his own mark on the album both Live and in the studio.
The material sounds fresh and although it has hints of old FM, but it sounds very current.
This album is due to be released in October 2009.
There are many other things in the pipeline... that's when I get through all of this as my productions team & the record company
like to keep me busy as you have noticed
I shall keep you updated regularly on the site with everything and all the developments.
