Saldrá el próximo 23 de abril, producido por Jason Slater, ha contado con colaboraciones de K.K.Downing, Ty Tabor, Lita Ford, Brad Gillis, Chris Poland y Dave Meniketti y además incluye la regrabación de cuatro clásicos...¿qué nos encontraremos?, de momento tengo miedo, mucho miedo.

El disco ya está grabado, que de momento es lo que me interesa.

Y samples de todo el álbum:

Disco aburrido, temas insípidos y sin inspiración. Hay canciones más heavies como "Slave" y "Running backwards" (en éste último último a Tate se le nota bastante mal).
Quitamos la voz de Geoff y este grupo se parece a los Ryche de verdad lo que un huevo a una castaña.
Lo de las regrabaciones no tiene ni pies ni cabeza ("Empire" no hay por donde agarrarla ).

Fichar a Tichy es todo un acierto (por cierto, Simon Wright lo hace fantástico en Jet city woman).
Lástima que no metan en la carcel a Kelly Gray (sorprendente que sea el mismo que en Craig Goldy's ritual). Si fichara a un buen guitarrista sería una bandaza.

Do you really hate "Frequency Unknown", the new album from the Geoff Tate-fronted version of QUEENSRŸCHE? Have you already blogged about it online? Well, metal geeks, if you've got the balls to stand behind your opinion, then here is the contest for you.

Stop hiding behind your computer keyboards and smart phones and show Tate and his record label, Deadline Music/Cleopatra Records, how much you hate "Frequency Unknown" by submitting your "video rant" to them via YouTube video. Start by giving them your real name on camera and proceed to rant away. Geoff Tate will film himself choosing the best video rant and will post online for your enjoyment. The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Seattle, Washington to see QUEENSRŸCHE in their hometown on June 29, along with VIP special guest seating, meet-and-greet passes for after the show and a merchandise package worth $250 that he or she can feel free to either burn — or wear in style!

Contest rules:

1. Video rants must be submitted via YouTube and contestant must state on camera before beginning the rant: "My name is (real first and last name per ID and/or passport) and this is my video submission for the QUEENSRŸCHE "best rant" contest — or video will not be considered.

2. All video submissions must include a link to: www.cleorecs.com or video will not be considered.

3. Please limit your rants to the music and production of the album "Frequency Unknown". Personal attacks/personal threats on QUEENSRŸCHE bandmembers and family members will not be tolerated. Any video submissions that cross the line will be denied and possibly reported to YouTube for violation of YouTube policies (seriously — wives and children are off limits!)

4. Content of the video rant must be limited to the QUEENSRŸCHE "Frequency Unknown" album as released by Deadline Music/Cleopatra Records on April 23, 2013 and not on any previously released QUEENSRŸCHE or Geoff Tate solo albums.

5. Contest limited to ages 18 and up only.

6. Deadline for submissions is May 10, 2013.

7. Runners-up will receive free "goodie bag" from QUEENSRŸCHE and Cleopatra Records Inc.

La cosa está peor de lo que pensaba...

Joder, increible. Como tiene la cabeza el colega, la madre que lo pario.

He recibido el disco hoy y no he podido resistir la tentación de ponerlo. Ninguno se sorprenderá si digo que en una primera escucha me ha gustado. Sólo le he dado una vuelta, pero ya le veo más de un detalle que me gusta. Veremos qué tal cuando lo escuchemos en profundidad.



Ahora tendré que pedir la otra remezcla...

Esa canción está bastante chula, pero sigue habiendo cosas raras que le impiden ser una canción plena, como las segundas voces que se van ligeramente de tono, que creo que no es cosa de mezclas sino de que a Tate le gusta enrredar, por que me niego a creer que un tipo que se ha hecho las voces (y estupendas) en una docena de discos meta la pata sin querer de esa forma y al productor y demás equipo se les haya pasado por alto.

Yo también creo que esos aspectos que comentas están así porque él quiere.

El disco suena un poco amateur, por decirlo de alguna forma, con poco brillo. Como dices, aprovechando el 2x1 envié el recibo escaneado y ya me han respondido. Veremos si el otro suena algo diferente. Conste que el disco no suena mal, quizás un poco soso.

Sorprendería que no te gustara, que sobre gustos... también hay gente a la que le gusta "St.Anger" y hasta el "Carved in stone" de Vince Neil
