Una idea muy freaky, la verdad no sé a qué viene hacer algo así, aunque esa mezcla del Kickstar my heart" con We will rock you" no queda mal.

A mi me parece divertido y por lo menos no suena chapucero. Va muy en la linea de lo que hacen Beatallica, mezclando Metallica con los Beatles.

No existen los Beatallica esos, pues lo mismiguo...

Yo escucha hace años algo parecido pero con temas de ABBA y clasicos de Rock.

Y es un discazo (un poco friky pero a mi me encanta), que efectivamente mezcla temas de ABBA con clásicos de Kiss, Metallica Purple, Van Halen, Judas...

Con éste "Don´t stop the sandman" cerraron su actuación en el Firefest de hace un par de años, para sorpresa de todos los que estábamos en la Rock City. Una de los mejores directos de todo el festi, a pesar de ser uno de los grupos que menos expectación levantaba.
Está bien la pijada esta de mezclar temas de esta forma, sobretodo de cara a los directos, pero jamas me compraría un disco en este plan. Se vé que el no comerse un colín con sus propias canciones les lleva a intentarlo con esta frikada...
De todos modos, el trabajo de voces y coros que se curran no tiene desperdicio.

JESS HARNELL – LEAD VOCALS Son of Grammy Award winning composer /musician Joe Harnell and big band vocalist Margaret “Franky” Crockett, Jess has always had music in his blood as well as having an unusual hormone that gives him bionic hair. Jesse was born on the east co ...ast but grew up in California, which explains a lot. He always knew he’d be a performer and when he started singing in the third grade and his homeroom teacher immediately slept with him, Jesse knew that he had found his calling. After a tumultuous relationship with education, Jesse and school finally broke up when he was nine. A wild child, Jess had some brushes with the law until he figured out that using a flat iron on the law would be much more effective. Jess has been thrilled to sing in many of the biggest arenas in the world although he usually had to break in to them after hours and so he was the only one present while he was singing. Eventually, and using only his voice, Jesse proved all of his school guidance counselors wrong and became enormously successful. He was nominated for an Emmy Award, was named Best Singer in several rock magazines, was the recipient of a Peabody Award and named by Variety Magazine as one of the top ten voice actors and best and busiest session singers in show business. If he weren’t stuck on that island, he could have done great things like announcing “America’s Funniest Videos”, voicing thousands of commercials and promos and starring on countless cartoon series and animated feature films like “Animaniacs”, “Transformers”, “Drawn Together” and “Finding Nemo”. He even could have gotten to live in an awesome house that looks like a spaceship, drive a beautiful car and work with many famous and important people, none of whom would ever admit to having worked with him. But none of that happened because he got shipwrecked. Damn that f%&#ing island. In his twenty stranded years, Jesse continued to hone his skills and quickly became the unofficial island entertainment for his bandmates. Every night, he would stand inside a ten foot high makeshift TV screen that Chuckie constructed out of bamboo shoots and Jesse would entertain Chuck and Alex with songs and impressions of countless celebrity voices, both speaking and singing, as well as performing creative reenactments of what he believed was probably happening on the bands favorite TV shows, “Charles In Charge’ and “The Smurfs”. His popularity grew and grew until all the wildlife on the island began to attend his shows to thunderous reviews. Many of this same wild life was subsequently barbequed and eaten by the band. As Jesses’s popularity increased, he entered his ego period, distancing himself from his band mates, smoking banana peels and demanding his own ocean. He amassed a large entourage of bad influences such as gorilla bodyguards, parakeet agents and groupies who were foxes. Literally. In fact, he even called his favorite fox by the pet name of “Yoko” after she insisted that Jesse make a solo album. But since Jesse doesn’t speak fox, this never happened and the band was soon back together and all was well again. Back on dry land, Jesse is continually challenged by women, the economy, women, his complete lack of proficiency with modern technology, women and the overwhelming developments in hair care products that have transpired since 1989. It is his sincere hope that Rock Sugar will be even bigger that they became on the island and Jesse looks forward to performing to people who aren’t made of coconuts and are not lizards. CHUCK DURAN – GUITARS AND VOCALS. Chuck was born in Cuba several months ago and came out of the womb singing Ricky Ricardo’s “Ba Ba Lu” but the doctor slapped him so hard that he never sang it again. Chuckie began playing the guitar at the age of 13 after he fell in love with Peter Frampton though the two of them never actually dated and Chuckie never returned Frampton’s incessant phone calls. Moving to Los Angeles, Chuckie quickly became best friends with Jesse, which was his first mistake. He tried desperately to correct this by getting married, buying a suit and an Oldsmobile, cutting off all his hair and becoming an Amway distributor but it didn’t stick. The suit fell apart, his hair grew back and the Oldsmobile was stolen with his wife in it while Chuckie was trying to sell some soap. He hasn’t seen the suit, the car, his wife or the soap since and thus Rock Sugar officially began. Chuck simultaneously started the wildly successful World Digital Studios in Los Angeles, specializing in hundreds of commercials and becoming the number one state of the art producer of voiceover demos for people with speech impediments. Things really took off when he got the Porky Pig account and within one year of opening his doors he had to shut them because the neighbors were complaining constantly. Chuckie also honed his outstanding songwriting skills and was thrilled to have written the #1 hit “Hey Jude” until he found out that The Beatles had already written it. While stranded on the island, Chuckie became the go to band psychiatrist, problem solver and handyman, creating many indispensable devices to make living on shnapps and Paula Abdul records more palatable. His greatest idea may have been constructing stick people with coconut heads for Rock Sugar to perform to, one every day, until by the time they were rescued, the band was headlining nightly to a hard rocking audience of seven thousand three hundred and ninety two coconut people. However none of this has helped him learn to competently use today’s modern technologies such as Blackberries, the Internet or a microwave. Since being rescued and returned to the real world, Chuckie is back at work in the studio, writing more great songs like “Hey Jude”, recording stutterers and buying every guitar he can find now that he got turned on to ebay. However, he always wishes to remain humble and a man of the people, and so, happily fluent in Spanish, Chuckie currently lives in the back of a Taco Bell in North Hollywood. However, he is currently learning to speak Chinese because he heard there’s a nicer spot available in the attic of Panda Express. ALEX TRACK - Drums, Keyboards, Backing Vocals and Percussive Monkey Language. Son of world-renowned conductor and musical genius Gerhard Track and concert pianist Micaela Track, Alex began beating the skins and tickling the ivories at the age of 2 months. He received his Masters Degree in Music from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria and graduated with honors by the time he was 3. After moving to Los Angeles and joining Rock Sugar, Alex came tragically close to fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a rock star and running his own recording studio, establishing an unusual and exotic “Track” record working in any and all areas of music including rock, jazz, blues, country, classical, commercials, movies and even, reluctantly, hip hop (Alex knew he would someday need the cash). He even nearly realized his dream of winning a Grammy award in 2007 when it was all shattered into thousands of little metal pieces after the band’s untimely disappearance. Shortly after Rock Sugar’s return, Alex found his 8 track reel-to-reel studio equipment was still intact and begged the band to record their comeback album in his studio. They told him that if he recorded it for free that they would consider keeping him in the band. Alex was very excited about this prospect and remains to be to date. Utilizing his extensive free time in his twenty years on the island, Alex learned to effectively communicate with monkeys, creating a unique percussive language with the primates. This percussive monkey language helps him in running Track Entertainment Studios in Los Angeles and also transfers into Alex’s drumming, making him the most under-rated and most under-achieving drummer in the history of metal. To rectify this, Alex is currently planning on officially starting the PMS (Percussive Monkey Society). Politically, Alex was extremely happy being on the island while George W. Bush was in office. Privately, Alex finds his life after the shipwreck to be a complete train wreck. Not being able to cope with today’s so called evolved society, Alex continues to let his ex-wife and her con artist husband suck the non-existent financial blood right out of his veins. Alex’s two kids are cool because they take after him though they are not yet able to speak to monkeys. Al’s kids think HE is cool because he is teaching them about honesty and the PMS. Alex loves his daughter and son very much and is taking time to get to know them and all of their stepbrothers and stepsisters of which there are 38, each from a different father. By the way, Al would like to add that he isn’t bitter and add the disclaimer that he didn’t write this bio and would also like to applaud the fairness of the California Supreme Court. Pues ésta vez el rarito voy a ser yo.Despues de escucharme los samples puedo decir que no me gusta nada de nada me suena todo tan artificial,me parece muchísimo más original los Steel Panther que al menos copian veladamente y en éste foro muchos les disteís cera por todo los lados.Lo siento pero me quedo con las versiones originales de todos esos temazos.

Anoche escuché en un garito el "Don't Stop the Sandman", y flipé.

La gente ya no sabe que hacer para poder comer.... el caso es que suena bien, pero para eso, para oírlo en un garito con varias cervezas encima.
