Third Eye comenzó como banda en 2003. La primavera de 2008 la banda se dirigió al estudio para comenzar la grabación de lo que se convertiría en “Recipe For Disaster” . Las grabaciones se extendieron por casi un año debido a una gran cantidad de reveses diferentes. A última hora el teclista Kostending de Rasmus decide abandonar la banda y el álbum tendría a retrasarse. Por suerte Zierler Finn, de Beyond Twilight, intervino y ayudó en las teclas en algunas de las canciones. El resto fue a cargo de Tommy Hansen en jailhouse Studios. Un año después comenzó a grabar Third Eye con ayuda de Tommy Hansen el cual puso el toque final en la mezcla y masterización. El álbum estaba listo para ser revelado al mundo. Un año más debía pasar, luchando con diferentes sellos , antes de que “Recipe For Disaster" estuviera listo para el mundo, 2 años después de comenzar las grabaciones. Durante este período Krogh Simon se unió a la banda en los teclados. Un viaje largo y duro había terminado.
