Con vaya discazo más masisiguo debutaron estos tíos en 2004, un pequeño clásico del AOR actual.

Pues txi "zapatillas de sumo" Peterzon, cogieron lo mas selecto del sonido TOTO, le añadieron lo mejor de las melodias escandinavas, un toque de modernez al conjuntiguo y el resultado fue uno de mis 10 diskiguos de AOR favoritos de la decadigua!!!!

UNAbrillante mezkla de AOR-wetcoast.Del AOR una de las kosas k mas me han gustado son las voces.este disko podria valer trankilamente komo leccion de ke son PERFECTAS HARMONIAS VOKALES.UN KLASIKO DE NUESTRO TIEMPO.

Although this band consists of three lead vocalists, mainman certainly is one Christian Antblad. His name may not sound familiar to you, but up to now he has worked with quite an impressive list of artists - including Bill Champlin, Vinnie ...Colaiuta, David Foster, Michael Landau, Michael McDonald, Richard Page and David Roberts – all mainly known from the westcoast scene. Not only is this Antblad a great singer, he also deserves credit for his songwriting talent. On this “Standing Tall” no less than 9 songs are co-written by Tommy Denander and him and believe me, both artists stand surety for quality! And while speaking of songs, the other three are penned by no others than Clif Magness (“My Heart”), R. Page/S. George/J. Lang (“Waiting In My Dreams”) and T. Denander/R. Delin (“Grace”). First conclusion: this is an album full of quality songs!
In Spin Gallery, Antblad is joined by Kristoffer Lagerström - a long-time friend of Tommy Denander – and newest member Magnus Weinemo, who managed to sing all his parts perfectly during the last week of recording the album. Both are very experienced as well and sing at least as good as Christian Antblad. Second conclusion: if you’re a sucker for brilliant lead vocals and unbelievable harmony vocals, this album delivers all you’re longing for!
A man (or should I say workaholic?) who also had a big hand in the production of this album is of course the above-mentioned Tommy Denander. I may say that I have followed his career closely and so far, he has never really disappointed me. The songs he co-wrote with Antblad are full of hooks and melodies and won’t bore you a single second. His production as well as his performances on guitar, keys and bass are once again well-finished. On drums Tommy and the trio were joined by Marcus Liliequist, while Anders ‘Theo’ Theander took care of percussion and some additional keyboard effects. Third conclusion: as far as the sound and the performances go, everything is fine!
Indicating favourite tracks is a difficult thing to do, as quality is written all over them. But one song deserves a special mentioning and that’s album closer “Grace”, because of the attendance of some great guest musicians, such as David Foster (on piano), Randy Goodrum (on keyboards) and Michael Thompson (guitar effects). End conclusion: this is AOR/westcoast the way I like it and as such, this “Standing Tall” is certainly one of the best albums released by the rather young Atenzia Records label (founded by ex-MTM Music man Magnus Söderkvist a couple of years ago). I can only hope that this is the beginning of something big for these three brilliant singers. All in all “Standing Tall” is an album that will end high on the list of ‘best album of 2004’, provided you’re an addict of AOR and westcoast. Highly recommended!

Muy Buen Finde!!

Un disco exquisito, muy fino, con unas voces espectaculares.

Una de las joyitas de los últimos años en el ámbito aorero, sin duda.

Una chulada de disco.

Temazo, cara B del single "Am I Wrong".

Yo este mulilero single txi que me lo pillé...(no ve lo vendiste tú "carabina fan de las bailarinas" Peterzon...? ) y oir después el diskiguo entero me hizo darme cuenta que había mejores temiguas para haber sido elegidos como single... Que tal "Satisfied"...??

Después de leer en la entrevista con Dennander en la This Is Rock de junio (nº 132) que éste era uno de los discos de los que más orgulloso se sentía lo he vuelto a poner. Hacía ya un tiempo que no lo escuchaba porque lo machaqué en su día. Volver a ponerlo ahora ha sido un reencuentro gozoso. Un disco que creo que va a aguantar muy bien el paso del tiempo, incluso creo que le puede beneficiar. Creo que es un disco de los que va a perdurar.
