    Muy Buen Disco Si Señor!!

    excelente!!

ara no tengo tiempo para comentar, por lo q con vuestro permiso os pongo solo info en Ingles:

This album was originally released in 1989 on Rockpreis Records, and was a major rarity. Thankfully, Long Island Records got a hold of this classic album, and reissued it on cd as part of their "Rock Classics" series.
Very much in the Journey style, but with more keys, and hardly any sign of an accent by Neumann.
Four of the five band members currently (2004) play the covers circuit in a band called Four Tonight, as well as Schröder & Neumann providing their own acoustics covers of Beatles and Eagles classics. Your collection is incomplete without this little beauty, but even the cd, these days, is hard to find, so buy it now before it becomes really rare!

Band Members : Thomas Bak - drums
    Frank Metzer - keys, b/vocals
    Thorsten Neumann - vocals
    Henning Reese - bass, b/vocals
    Jörg Schröder - Guitars, b/vocals

    RESCUE - RESCUE (1989, ROCKWERK)
    Thorsten Neumann - vocals
    Jorg Schroder - guitars
    Sebastian Kinder - keyboards
    Henning Reese - bass
    Jochen Steinberg - drums

    Background
Rescue originated from Germany, a seat at our Boardroom table guaranteed. If you like Euro pomp a la 1st Avenue, Emergency (both Dutch and Swiss versions), Talk Of The Town and Javan, then these guys will be right up your alley. This is a very full sounding album, great drums, keyboards everywhere (and tastefully so I might add), while the guitars of Schroder and vocals of Neumann are the focal points of the band, the latter doesn't even have an accent either! Bravo.. I've been a fan of this lot for ages, so decided it was time to give them overdue recognition here at GD.

    The Songs
A nice drum sequence/intro delivers us the opener 'Don't Call Me Crazy', a 1st Avenue like workout complete with a powerful sound to boot. Impressed after round one? You betcha! 'Face To Face' leads us in a Talk Of The Town direction, and even with the album highlight - the pristine 'Into The Night', it is so hard to ignore the Talk Of The Town comparison. The commercial ballad 'Hold On' is beautiful stuff, reminding me of Austrian AOR wonders Fahrenheit at their best. 'Be There For You' is a big fun sounding track. Think Terra Nova's 'Come On' from their 1997 album 'Livin' It Up' and you're in the zone. Keyboardist Sebastian Kinder has a bit of fun with the track 'Feels Like The First Time' (no.. not the Foreigner version). His keyboard solo/sequence takes up a good minute and a half before the rest of the band kick in. And a lovely keyboard laced affair it is too! 'Sometimes' is full of punchy keyboard parps while the mid-tempo 'Fire Still Burning' could melt you with luscious melodies instead of pyromania-induced rock. The albums finishes up with the intense power-ballad 'Deeper', it's lighters-in-the-air stuff, where atmospherics abound.

    In Summary
Rockwerk put out this platter in 1989, and it was followed up by a subsequent release on the defunct Long Island Records during 1995. The band went through a line-up change at the time, Frank Mentzor coming in on keyboards while Thomas Bak came in on drums. Without doubt this is a quality pomp rock album, and should be in your collection by automatic decree. If not, what the heck are you waiting for? Seek it out now.
